1. The Female Character Challenge from DIP team

Let’s start the year with a challenge crafted by our team to hone your character design skills. The goal of the challenge is to relax after the New Year holidays with the help of art therapy, enjoy the process and get into your own drawing pace. All while working on powerful female characters!

Here are the main rules of DIP Female Character drawing challenge:

  • Start date: January 6
  • Platform: TikTok
  • We’ll work on 8 topics in total, which means you draw once every three days
  • We draw only female characters
  • Any materials are welcome (but no AI art, please) - our artist Polina will be drawing with colored pencils
  • Post your works by topic, tag them using hashtags #femalecharacterjanuary #femalecharacterjanuary2025

You are free to draw both sketches and something more voluminous - it’s all up to you! Here at DIP we don’t expect or require perfect artwork, it’s all about the process and fun.

We wanted to give some spotlight to smaller challenges straight from creators, those that usually don’t have dedicated websites or massive following. So we did some digging and created a list of January art challenges run by artists, who both lead and participate in them.

1. January Doodle-A-Day challenge by @copedoodles

Just as the title says, you take a daily prompt and Doodle it the way you want.
